Shelby Stone New braunfels Concert reviews
Deapite a 2.5 hour delay & fake country accent...
Madonna showed up at 10:30. Tickets said 8pm. I saw several people leave before & right after the show started. DJ started at 8:30 & quit at 9:30. She also used some insane fake country accent during her first "chat" with the crowd. During another "chat," she slurred her words & seemed to be wasted. She also referred to being in Oklahoma instead of Louisiville - it happens... Lastly, like many die hard fans, I grew up with Madonna. I admired her independence & her willingness to shirk the status quo & express herself to the fullest. It was insulting. Her accent was thicker than Taylor Swift's - almost as thick as Reba's. If she was faking it, again, I don't know why. She was just ALL about herself, how awesome she is & needed us all to tell her how great she is throughout the show. She took a diamond earring from a girl in the audience. No humility. She asked the crowd to scream her name over & over. No gratitude for the crowd. She did a stunt where she pretended to get someone to marry her. Every time she talked, I liked her less. I was disappointed. I don't respect her as an interesting, independent woman anymore. I still think she's an amazing artist & will admire her talents & stamina at 57, but I lost a lot of respect for her because of her Diva behaviors. I don't know why she thought that was necessary to talk about 6-packs & love like we're all a bunch of hicks. Being 2.5 hours late to start. If she was faking it, since her dance moves & lyrics never faltered. It was stupid.
